Walking Transformation

Hamish Fulton – Walking Transformation

9 March 2014 – 8 June 2014

Walking Transformation was a comprehensive overview of Hamish Fulton’s oeuvre in which the artist transforms his experiences during walking journeys into art. On the basis of drawings and photographs collected during these precisely planned, choreographed and specifically themed Walks, Fulton designed a display of site-specific wall drawings, murals, photographs, texts, and objects at the Villa Merkel, Esslingen (Germany).

The nucleus of the exhibition in Esslingen was preceded by Walks in India, and was complemented by a few works from earlier Actions. Far more than a half of the works featured were newly created for this exhibition.

As exhibition manager I assisted the artist with his presentation on site, provided logistics and loans, as well as supported the gallery’s PR and marketing efforts.
